TASO LIMBRIDIS

Principal Physiotherapist & Director of Spinal Synergy

ABOUT ME

Taso is a highly skilled Physiotherapist with more than 25 years clinical experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, spine and sporting injuries. He is the Practice Principal & Owner of Spinal Synergy Physiotherapy which he established in 2008 to focus primarily on treating spine related problems.

After graduating in Physiotherapy in South Africa he worked in private practice and was affiliated with professional rugby union teams. He then spent the next 8 years in the UK working in sports injury clinics in London treating professional rugby players, English Premiership footballers, elite triathletes, runners as well as dancers from London’s leading West End theatre shows. He completed a Masters in Sports Medicine at the University of Nottingham.

Through his international experience he has gained unique skills and training in addressing pelvic and sacro-iliac joint dysfunction which are often at the root cause of other spinal issues. This results in an approach that assesses movement and function of the spine – rather than only focusing on pain. Taso uses a combination of manual therapy techniques, including Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release, Acupuncture & Dry Needling as well as exercise rehabilitation to get the best results for his patients.

Besides his clinic role Taso is involved in delivering Continued Professional Development to other Physiotherapists in the form of lectures and practical courses, this mainly involved SIJ Dysfunction and Myofascial Release. He is also the Director of World Health Webinars that offers a range of online learning material to a wide range of practitioners.

Taso has always been keen on sports and staying fit, since moving to Sydney in 2005 he loves the beach and sea. He regularly swims and runs and relaxes by taking in the beauty of Sydney’s nature or reading books. He has a thirst for knowledge and loves the constant learning, he is often reading research articles to stay informed of the latest findings in Physiotherapy.
